Elise Rhodes, MS
Individual, Couples & Family Counselor
**Located At Our Hazel Path Location**

Consistently recognized for her warmth and compassion, Elise has always known that she wanted to help others. In her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, she was drawn to global social justice issues and saw herself in a career that would allow her to contribute in some way to that cause. Since then, she came to realize that she wanted to help people in a more one-on-one and intimate manner as a therapist, and thus, pursued and earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to achieve that goal.

Her humanitarian-infused education and her own experiences with some of life’s challenges have led her to understand the critical elements of healing—human connection, empathetic support, insight, strengths-recognition, and coping skills. She believes creativity can help us understand our strengths and struggles more fully and thus, if appropriate, she may implement expressive arts into therapy sessions. Overall, through her genuine and meaningful therapeutic relationships, she wishes to empower her clients, allowing them to not only heal, but to reach their fullest potential.

In her spare time, she enjoys cuddling up with her dog, Moose (Boston Terrier/French Bulldog mix), sipping coffee and laughing with friends, eating good food, trying to knit, and watching Netflix documentaries.

Elise is currently working toward her Tennessee State Licensure under the supervision of Holli Quinn, LPC-MHSP.
