LAUREN WHITE-MAY, LPC-MHSP
INDIVIDUALS (8+), COUPLES PORTLAND / TELEHEALTH Lauren White-May is passionate about walking alongside individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and pursue healing and personal growth. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education and Cultural Studies from Western Kentucky University in 2009 and her Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development from Lindsey Wilson College in 2020. Lauren works with clients aged 8 through older adulthood and has a particular passion for working with adolescents. She has experience supporting individuals with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, bipolar disorder, grief, and substance use concerns, including addiction and recovery. Lauren is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), is an ADHD Clinical Services Provider, and an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Clinical Services Provider for individuals up to Level 2. She is currently pursuing advanced training in somatic-based approaches, which can be especially beneficial in addressing trauma and related concerns. Lauren believes that healing occurs most effectively in an environment where clients feel safe, accepted, and genuinely understood. She is committed to providing an authentic, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic space where clients can be authentic, explore barriers to growth, and move forward at a pace that feels right for them. Lauren deeply values each client’s goals, needs, and voice in the therapeutic process, believing that every individual deserves wellness, dignity, and wholeness.
